(no subject)

So we have a lot of Chinese people working in my department. And I was discussing Chinese New Year with one of the older cook guys. And he says it's going to be the year of the monkey. (!) And then I said to my coworker, "Year of the Monkey! The perfect year for a crazymonkeyloveslave!" And the guy goes, "I'm a monkey". Heh.

But what we all want to know is . . . well you know.

So, it's the year of the monkey? there are how many different years in their schedule? 12?

Turns out I am a Metal Boar (http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=sarudy&itemid=15206). I'd add 'no jokes please', but what good would it do?

Hey, wow, we're compatible.

As a Boar I have an affinity for rabits and sheep, and as metal I have an affinity for water and wood.

What I really need to avoid, apparently, are fire snakes.

It's the year of the Sheep. :)

My husband, who is a monkey, turns 35 this year. Next year (2004) is the year of the Monkey -- he'll be 36. It's a 12-year cycle.

I just checked this out earlier this week, as a matter of fact. The Jan. 1 edition of the Chinese paper had a little sheep on it...

I'm sad that I have to wait until 2004 for the year of the crazymonkeyloveslave

Well, hell, given the right slave, you can have crazymonkeyloveslave every day. ;)

You mean, it can live on in our hearts, year-round, kind of like, umm, a very special christmas?

Um, more like "Every Day is Halloween." ;D

Years living on in your heart...

Reminds me of an Onion bit about 1973 - Celebrating 30 years of 1973, 1973-2003. :)

I don't know. I find Valentine's depressing enough. If I knew everyone else had crazymonkeyloveslaves, I'd be like, suicidal.

mmm. Good point about the nudity thing

but I have to concur with [livejournal.com profile] tanaise that if you replaced Valentine's Day with it, people would assume that you had to celebrate it with your crazymonkeyloveslave. So I think we should have it at the anti-Valentine's Day, kinda like summer and winter soltices. So, August 14th (mmm, eric's b-day... what do you think it signifies, him being born on crazymonkeyloveslave day? hmmm). So on Valentine's Day people can celebrate "romantic" love, and on August 14th people can celebrate crazymonkey love.
