Jan. 15th, 2003 10:26 amSo we have a lot of Chinese people working in my department. And I was discussing Chinese New Year with one of the older cook guys. And he says it's going to be the year of the monkey. (!) And then I said to my coworker, "Year of the Monkey! The perfect year for a crazymonkeyloveslave!" And the guy goes, "I'm a monkey". Heh.
Actually...
Date: 2003-01-15 07:31 pm (UTC)My husband, who is a monkey, turns 35 this year. Next year (2004) is the year of the Monkey -- he'll be 36. It's a 12-year cycle.
I just checked this out earlier this week, as a matter of fact. The Jan. 1 edition of the Chinese paper had a little sheep on it...
