podlingSo I called my mom and asked her if by any chance she bought the stereo from a satanist, or a store kind of like the one in the Friday the 13th TV series, or from a guy named Vlad with pointy hair. She said no, it was all quite normal, but maybe it was on a straight lined path when I moved and a japanese spirit* infested it. Now, this is all well and good, but I'm not sure what one does about that.
* In landscape design, I was taught that the purpose of zigzag garden paths in japanese gardens was to prevent spirits from attacking mortals. Four years of schooling and this is the only thing she remembers me telling her about my studies.
