Jun. 18th, 2004 03:12 pmSo I called my mom and asked her if by any chance she bought the stereo from a satanist, or a store kind of like the one in the Friday the 13th TV series, or from a guy named Vlad with pointy hair. She said no, it was all quite normal, but maybe it was on a straight lined path when I moved and a japanese spirit* infested it. Now, this is all well and good, but I'm not sure what one does about that.
* In landscape design, I was taught that the purpose of zigzag garden paths in japanese gardens was to prevent spirits from attacking mortals. Four years of schooling and this is the only thing she remembers me telling her about my studies.

Date: 2004-06-19 06:19 am (UTC)Well, I called Aiwa once about it. They said they'd never heard of these sorts of problems, but that maybe if I unplugged it for either 24 or 48 hours, the factory standards would reset. No such luck though. It behaved better after that, probably thought I'd chuck it if it didn't give me some love, but at the same time...
But it stayed turned off last night, so maybe all is well in its world again. :)
