It's weird how I'm still kind of unnerved by riot police. I mean, you'd think I'd've gotten used to it by now. It's not like I don't see them every day, you know... in front of buildings or in and around the train station or whatever. However there are times, like today, when I really think it'd be nice to live and work somewhere where there aren't any. Or at least, any visible. Or maybe even any visible first thing in the morning.

So... give it a shot, plug your town here! State a case for me to move there.

Edit: Unless we're talking about the Caribbean, no, I don't want to live somewhere hot.

Edit 2: I'd also prefer that I live somewhere that I won't be hated for being weird. Because I am.

Metuchen is nice. But I'm guessing you don't want to live here. I get the impression you're looking for a bigger change in scenery.

I'll chime in with the person who suggested Portland, Oregon, though. I was there once, and it was really nice. It's a somewhat college-like mildly bohemian town (and it's home to LiveJournal). The surroundings are also nice: Multinomah falls, wine country to the south.
