It's weird how I'm still kind of unnerved by riot police. I mean, you'd think I'd've gotten used to it by now. It's not like I don't see them every day, you know... in front of buildings or in and around the train station or whatever. However there are times, like today, when I really think it'd be nice to live and work somewhere where there aren't any. Or at least, any visible. Or maybe even any visible first thing in the morning.
So... give it a shot, plug your town here! State a case for me to move there.
Edit: Unless we're talking about the Caribbean, no, I don't want to live somewhere hot.
Edit 2: I'd also prefer that I live somewhere that I won't be hated for being weird. Because I am.

Date: 2004-11-04 03:45 pm (UTC)In 2000, Nader won substantially more votes in Madison than Bush. There were also like to protest there, but the police/citizen interaction is always respectful. The only protests I was involoved in where there were issues were during the National Governors Assoc. Convention when they had National Guard troops come in. And there was that time we got pepperspray because someone set fire to an Army recruting center's pamphlets. But I like it there anyway.
Though I hear good things about Auten and Ann Arbor MI.
