It's weird how I'm still kind of unnerved by riot police. I mean, you'd think I'd've gotten used to it by now. It's not like I don't see them every day, you know... in front of buildings or in and around the train station or whatever. However there are times, like today, when I really think it'd be nice to live and work somewhere where there aren't any. Or at least, any visible. Or maybe even any visible first thing in the morning.

So... give it a shot, plug your town here! State a case for me to move there.

Edit: Unless we're talking about the Caribbean, no, I don't want to live somewhere hot.

Edit 2: I'd also prefer that I live somewhere that I won't be hated for being weird. Because I am.

Portland, Oregon! You need to experience life on the West Coast for a while, it's all different here. Plus, you know, you can hang out with us a lot, and we're cool. Then we'll make Celia move here, since she needs to.

Heather beat me to it! Portland is low-risk (Seattle, SF & LA are the big West Coast targets), low-crime, laid-back, we've got a great new mayor, and in the Metro area you won't be hated for being weird. Can't say the same about the rest of the state...but there's no sales tax (income tax instead). Minus? You can't pump your own damned gas, and it does rain a lot in the winter.
