It's weird how I'm still kind of unnerved by riot police. I mean, you'd think I'd've gotten used to it by now. It's not like I don't see them every day, you know... in front of buildings or in and around the train station or whatever. However there are times, like today, when I really think it'd be nice to live and work somewhere where there aren't any. Or at least, any visible. Or maybe even any visible first thing in the morning.

So... give it a shot, plug your town here! State a case for me to move there.

Edit: Unless we're talking about the Caribbean, no, I don't want to live somewhere hot.

Edit 2: I'd also prefer that I live somewhere that I won't be hated for being weird. Because I am.

Austin is cool, left-wing, hippy, and cheap to live. The economy is pretty good and jobs are to be had. The music scene is really good. It gets chilly enough to wear sweaters, but not coats.

Everyone I talk to about Austin says the same thing across the board! They love it there.

I lived in Austin for about three years. If I ever had to live in Texas again, I'd choose Austin.

It does have its drawbacks though, namely Cedar Fever and cricket season. And no, I don't mean that wacky English game.
