So. The tomato plants are getting biggish (unlike the soybeans, which are dead dead dead from rain issues). Big enough that they need to move into adult pots. But, even having given more than half of them away, I still have too many. So anyone in the area (and by area, I mean an hour and a half drive, not the weird NJ thing of "it might take me more than 15 minutes to get there, thus out of my area"), if you want one, let me know, and I'll probably bring it to where you are. You will need to put it either into a bigger pot or into the ground. Please!!! They need homes, people!!! Adopt!!!

I would love to, but my heart is set on little tomato plants of my own.

And I live a little more than an hour and a half from NJ.

I'm sure we can make a little space in our garden for a lost little tomato plant.

I have a close friend who would love a tomato plant, having recently lost her own.

Ours are doing great! And we got some planing boxes with automatic watering for the little dears. I'm going to try to repot them this weekend, since it's pretty cold to put them outside yet. Isn't Memorial Day the usual rule here?

Mad gardening skillz? I think not! Generally it's more like the Touch of Death, though I've usually had pretty good luck with tomatoes. Which are, after all, a jungle weed!

These did have a close call, when J- who usually does plant care because his ToD isn't as fully-formed as mine- didn't water them enough and they wilted pretty badly. I soaked them and they reecovered, though, even the little one which I figured was a goner.

I do need to repot them though, and then move them to the front window; they're big enough and smelly enough at this point that I think the cats will leave them alone, and the greenhouse window is getting all walled in.
