From Immature to Mature Coffee

My coffee trees have flowers!!! They're flowering!!! Really!!! Finally! After only 6ish years of varied living conditions, including the time spent fostered in the greenhouse and at my parents house when I couldn't take care of them myself, they've flowered!!! Pretty white flowers, even. If I had a camera, I'd post pics, that's how cool I think this is.

Now, from what I understand, they won't have a decent crop of beans their first year. But who knows, maybe I'll have enough to, say, brew one cup of coffee. I don't drink coffee, but... well, I mean, I'll have to find someone to test it on. :)

And if it ever gets warm, I can put them outside, where they will probably be even happier. Woo!

Oh, yes! I'm looking forward to it! And it'll get me out of J's hair, since he's technically off that day, which may mean he has a real day off for a change.

Want to finalize via email?

Also, what time's the Saturday thing, if it's still on?

Whee! :)

I knew they were close. And you thought you had permanently scarred their sexual developement didn't you?
Mine is sad, I haven't found anywhere that sells orchid food up here for it yet, so Tom is like starving now, green but all the new leaves are smaller than the old ones.

They don't have it at my home depot, because mine sucks, but we really do need to go to a larger floral shop, we just never do it.

Wheeeee! I must come visit them and see the beauteous flowers!

I'd say we could try the coffee out on T, but he doesn't even like the coffee from where he works...
