More attire!!!

Right, astrophysicat thought I should mention this after I told her about it...

So after reading the casual attire thingy, all afternoon I was fielding calls from execs. Why? Because we administrate the dining room for the execs, which also has a dress code. Yes, that's right, the dining room requires men to wear ties and jackets. So now people are confused. They don't have to wear them to work tomorrow, but do they have to wear them to eat? Uhhhhh....

It gets better. There are actually not one, but TWO very different levels of exec dining. So is it casual in one, the other, both or neither?

What a strange, strange world you live in. On my planet, we wear t-shirts and shorts, weather permitting, and a kitchen area with a microwave and fridge is all the dining room we have. I usually microwave a frozen entrée and eat at my desk.

Yes. Yes it is very strange. When I first came here, I thought I'd entered another world entirely. It's a far cry from either academia or gardening, I'll tell you that right now.
