Free to a good home...

I had this giant purple bouncy ball that astrophysicat bought one day at the grocery store when I was being all, "We need a giant purple bouncy ball for a picnic!!!" Anyway, I also have a big purple exercise ball, and found having two giant purple balls in the house kind of overkill. So I decided to rid myself of the regular one. But what to do? I want it to be enjoyed, not just tossed into the trash! And I don't really know that many kids or people with kids. So I took the giant purple bouncy ball and put a note on it that said, "Free to a good home" and left it on the landing outside my door. Less than an hour later, it was gone. Farewell, big purple bouncy ball, I hope the home that found you is indeed a good one...

This is bringing back happy memories of the summer after graduation, when atomicnumber51 and I were living, along with our really weird roommate (and you know if I'm calling someone weird, now that's weird) in this crappy house that smelled like dog piss, and we were at the grocery together, and we had started calling the house Happy Fun House, and they had these balls, and we were like "We need a Happy Fun Ball for Happy Fun House!!" Anyway, then we used to throw it at atomicnumber51 to wake her up. She's the one person on Earth who's harder to get out of bed than I am.

You know, I kinda miss having roommates sometimes...

I go back and forth on the missing roommates. It's the first time I've lived alone, and I really did like the built in social dynamic, not having to plan years ahead when to go to the movies, that sort of thing. But there are positives and negatives to each lifestyle, I suppose.

There's a squirrel somewhere who either thinks he hit the blueberry-jackpot or is practicing his yoga back exercises.

That would be the largest blueberry ever. Yet so light and fluffy... and useful for yoga! It's like a magical item.

Occasionally it was, yes. Not sure what it's doing these days... ;)
