Nov. 11th, 2003 09:54 amSo I've been really busy lately. Really busy and really tired, and have thus not really felt much like posting. Things are going by so fast that to comment on one and not others almost feels like it would be shortchanging something. But... well, what can you do. Take this weekend for instance.
I attended 2 parties, 3 plays (that I was doing crew on), and 1 fabulously wonderful wedding. Oh, and I managed to make time to get to the cd store before it closed too. I was able to see/talk to/hug/meet so many people this weekend, some people I hadn't seen in a long time, it was a fun fun time. :) I bought the new Barenaked Ladies cd... it made it possible for me to get through the hideous ordeal of paying bills. It's important to reward yourself. Oh yes.
I discussed my uselessness at the play. It was eventually determined that I'm not actually useless. And it also came to pass that I understood something important about myself... I am capable of command decision-making. I do it on a fairly regular basis, at work, etc. But! But I also automatically defer to the person I view as the authority. Thus, when the stage manager started doing the wrong thing, so did I. I wonder if it's a mistrust of self or just a way of making life easier. Hmmn.
Then there were bad evil things... things seem to break. Not completely, for the most part, just enough to annoy me. My stereo randomly ejects and refuses to play some cds. My vcr randomly shuts off when you hit buttons on the remote. Buttons like 'reverse' or 'pause'. It works when you turn it back on, but still. My heater seems not to quite work adequately. I'll probably have to deal with that soon. My mp3 player decided to only play one album out of the many it has. I managed to correct that one though it seems possible that it'll happen again eventually. At least I know how to fix it.
After the success with the mp3 player, I decided that maybe life wasn't so bad after all, and I made a lemon cake for dinner. Then I rearranged half of my room (the other half will hopefully get done tonight). And I wonder why I'm tired... heh. Oh, and I need to get some logs for my fireplace...
