So the new place...

I have a home!!! I mean, I already had one, but now I own one! Like, for real. Like a grown-up. It's so weird!!! I'll admit, I was kind of skeptical, right up to the closing. But it happened, and it all went okay, and... and... yeah.

So to anyone and everyone I was all freaky-deaky whilst talking to, accept my most humble apologies. I've been a little stressball lately. You were right, all of you, in saying it'd be fine. And all of you who said it know who you are.

But so astrophysicat and I went over to look at it tonight after our celebratory hibachi dinner (cara: "A toast to your new house!" me: "Why thanks, Doctor Cara!") and met some of the neighbors, which I wasn't quite thinking would happen so soon, but they seemed nice.

I have a condo. Of my own. This is so weird.

Damn. I need to sleep. Have to be at work early... Heh. But I have a new home.

The floors... well, my first *3* choices are unavailable in the time frame I need them (because the people at the stores were oh-so-helpful) but now, looking at what's in the kitchen there, I may just get pergo to match it, it looks like the pine pergo. I'm bummed about the other ones, but I think it might've looked weird with the kitchen one being that different anyway. So. Ho hum. That's scheduled for next weekend. After painting this weekend. Woohoo!

It's actually weird, because I really can't truly picture how it'll look. This is pretty odd for me, I usually have a good idea of how things'll come out...

Doesn't help, I live in Missouri...the butthole of hell. Someday I hope to own a place of my own too, a little bungalow, with a *very* small yard, maybe. Will you post pics of the new place at some point? I would love to see.
