Life goes too fast for me...

The weekend was fantabulous. Friday I headed to crowyhead's and we went off to see Black 47 at a bar in a somewhat seedy part of Philly. Seriously, next to where I parked there was an abandoned building with a tree growing through and out of it. And it wasn't the worst building around. The bar itself wasn't bad though. Then there was pizza. Then in the morning I drove back up here, went out looking at real estate all day, then went to a fun fun party. So far, no luck with the home buying thing, but it's such a huge commitment, it's not like I'm just buying anything. So then the next morning I started working on a new set for a play! I got there and they pretty much said, "here are the flats, this is approximately what we want, now go create the 100 acre wood!" And they liked my design and I got a bunch of it done and it was very ego gratifying to hear people say they liked my sketches and the work in progress. And it's odd, because I don't generally think negatively about my artwork, but I also don't think all that positively about it either. Sometimes it's nice to hear from an impartial observer that it's cool. So anyway, I got little sleep, had some problems finding times to eat, but overall had a good weekend.

Then comes work. I'm so busy this week, it's not even funny. I'm a bit under the gun, so if you feel ignored, at least you're in good company. I've worked late both days so far, and there's no sign of that ever stopping. I have like, several huge things that need to be done this week!!! And my room is a mess and needs to be cleaned in a big way!!! Oh, and I have cramps. And I have to take my car to be fixed again. Life sucks, but it's not like it's totally evil. This weekend is Paddlesport, an all weekend long kayak expo thingy. I so cannot wait! Oh, and there'll be more painting then. I do so love to paint. And another good thing, when I was on my way home (late) I got a random call from an old friend saying they missed me. Hee.

I should've gone to bed, like, over an hour ago, so I'll just stop the babbling madness now...

black 47! you seem to be into very similar music! i'm jealous of all the shows you go to....

I'd be jealous of me too. Hee! Kidding. I really enjoy live music, and I mean, okay, so the height of my liking of Black 47 was a few years ago, but I still really have fun at their shows. And other stuff, yeah. I find live music more accessible. Sort of like I wouldn't've liked Barenaked Ladies if I hadn't heard the live album first. Their cds, while decent, just aren't anywhere near representative of how fun they are in concert.
