podling | When Pigeons Attack (NYC location)

So we're in line, and there are these three pigeons in the road (the road being a very busy one) fighting over a piece of cracker. It was pretty exciting, they were all so into it! Flipping the little piece of cracker up and away from the others. Hard to root for one, they all looked alike (much like we probably look alike to them).

So, it being an active roadway, cars kept bearing down on them (they showed amazing bravery in defense of their cracker, oh yes) and they would fly a short distance then go back. Unfortunately, there was a line of people right there. So the pigeons were kind of flying at their heads. It was damn odd to see, really.

One of the guys attacked was this cute guy who I occasionally talk to, so on the bus I decided to interview him (heh).

me: I saw that pigeon attack you.

him: Yeah, wasn't that freaky!

me: Very odd.

him: I've never seen them do that before.

me: The streets of New York are a dangerous place.

him: heh.
