Well, highlights are easier than actually saying something, now aren't they?

Anyway, I went to DC to visit [livejournal.com profile] tanaise for a last time in her DC abode. [livejournal.com profile] melintur and [livejournal.com profile] d2leddy were also in attendance upon her most merciful queen of the world [livejournal.com profile] tanaise.

And 'lo we saw many places and did many things. I had brief moments of fear at many national monuments... The Lincoln Memorial inspired an odd kind of imperialist fear, which I think is mostly due to watching Logan's Run. The Washington Monument looked like it was going to fall on us, killing us all in a final act of defiance against the creatures that dared to create it, a la the tower of babble, as clouds whipped by it. It really resembled a pathway to another world at a right angle to the portion of the earth. (note to people who want to experience this view, you need to be kind of close and it should be windy)

What else... what else? Oh! I threw pens at [livejournal.com profile] tanaise while she was napping. That was fun.

Oh! And I looked all popular when my cell kept ringing. It's weird, I swear I go days without getting any calls, then all of a sudden everyone decides they miss me. Must be a planetary alignment thing...

Um, I'm confident that that was not the affect the creators intended. On the other hand, I suppose we could use national monuments as inkblot tests.

windy *and* cloudy. It was the sight of the clouds whipping past the monument, towards us, that really added something to the falling over on us part.
