Eeek!!! I was cleaning off my car, and my ski mittens got 3 (count that, 3!!!) little holes in it from the wiper blade! (and no, I can't really explain how) All I know is that it's a good thing that I have DUCT TAPE!!!!!

Duct tape is also shiney (kinda), so it will protect you from Mr. Al Kida's mind control rays. It's a bitch to get out of your hair, though.

I'm glad I already had duct tape, else I don't know *what* I'd've done. They probably haven't even made enough to supply the american people.

Actually, as a matter of fact we do. astrophysicat and I discussed what we could use the plastic sheeting and duct tape for and the most likely scenario was murder/suicide. It has to be in that order though. It's way harder to commit murder after suicide.

In other related news, we have no bottled water, which is sad, because Milltown water tastes dis-GUST-ing!!!

All forecasts I encountered said Sunday night/Monday, but my store closed Sunday when I normally work and do my shopping.

Of course I have food here, I was more commenting that there actually was a valid reason in this region to have supplies stored as opposed to terror hysteria.

Either way, I want out of my house. :)

Well, they're only very little holes. And the duct tape would just keep it more dry, not warmer. Though really, had I been wearing my ski mittens, I would've been a much happier camper. Truthfully, the holes would only be a problem if I was in a situation in which water would soak through.

If it makes you feel any better, one of my gloves committed suicide today. It slipped out of my hand (I was holding them, not wearing them, at the time), fell out of the train door before I could catch it, and made a beeline for the gap between train and platform. Part of my favorite set, too. :(

Oh no! Dude. That just sucks. Damn NJ transit anyway! At least it wasn't my favorite pair of ski mittens, I have to say, but still. I feel your pain.
