Okay, scenario and question for y'all. So I buy cd imports (from NZ and AU mostly) and this one company emails me whenever they have something new I might want. And I usually do want what they're offering. My roommate pointed out that that kind of email is usually considered spam, but given that I do actually want the stuff, is it really spam? Do other people get offers like that that they actually want? Or is my music addiction just a bit overdeveloped?

In related news, I'll be getting a new cd from NZ sometimes soon. heh.

If you've elected at some point to receive the newsletter/sales promo/whatever email, then I don't think it's spam. If someone finds your email and just starts sending you whatever they want, then it's spam.

But once? with spam? I won the porn lottery. I never did get my prize tho. I want the porn that is rightfully mine.

I don't actually remember if it was asked, but I did buy 2 things from them, and the times they've emailed me about new stuff it's always directly related to those artists. So it's cool, and I'm happy about it anyway. :)

That's so sad... they really should have given you your porn!!!
