Stereo demons

podlingSome evil thing has invaded my stereo and made it so that no matter which way you turn the volume knob, the volume just gets lower and lower. It's evil, I say!!! And I have the stereo on ALL THE TIME!!! I can still use the remote to turn it up, but what happens if I lose that???
So I reached out and touched someone for help and the nice folks at aiwa told me to unplug it for 24 hours, to hopefully reset the internal thingamajiggy to factory standard. This actually seems likely to work, given that I first noticed this issue after we had 5 consecutive power surges/outages/whatevers. Rat Bastard Goat Demons!!!!!!
