Not distressed, I just wanted to see the blurry hamster

Right... so over the weekend I found out that "Cane Toads: An Unnatural History" will be playing at a local Borders as part of the NJ Film Festival thing in April. Is it wrong to want to go just to see who shows up for it?

In other news, I have a TON of work to do today! Meh! And I have to take my car back to Saturn again. We won't follow that thought any further, since killing people is illegal and I'm keeping a handle on my anger.

Holding it together today. Woohoo! Fuck a duck. So the car needs yet another random part that they don't have. I don't know what, and I don't care. I told them I was going to drive to DC on Friday and that they were going to fix it before then. Period. They seem amenable to this. They seemed kind of embarrassed, as they well should be. I researched the NJ lemon laws, and while they're not actually *useful* to me in this situation, it's good to know about them, and I'd like to add that the NJ gov website is chock full of useful info like that. I'm impressed.

Meanwhile, at work I finally got stuff done. I've shut down all the IM programs and am seriously working. I'm a bit behind. So if'n I haven't answered you, that's why. Last week I slacked off a bit, leaving on time almost every day and not quite getting enough done, this week is a new start of leaving late on the days when I'm not getting my car fixed... and I finally did some things relating to the new portions of the job that are really hugely important. Small things keep coming up though and distracting me. Things like menu design, health dept. permits (okay, so that's a big thing, but still), etc. So I sort of feel productive, even if I'm not quite as productive as I'd like to be.

Good things though... I got yet *another* batch of bootlegs today!!! Go me!!! And they're good ones! And include replacements for the two that got cracked in shipping way back when and eventually cracked all the way through and stopped working. And the ones from last week, well, 4 of them are computer video ones, so I had them on in the background at work today. I love my new speaker/subwoofer combo at work, I really do.

In other news, the house hunt is going nowhere fast. But I've made a start, and I've been pre-approved for a mortgage. So progress is being made. I need to get back to the Floridians that I'm visiting about plans too, but seriously, there's just not enough time in the day. Meh!

And I am psycho tired now and need to sleep. Tomorrow I donate blood at some point. Figured what with the kind of rare blood type, I should actually do so once in a while. So... later!
