So last night I called my mom to ask her where I'd be able to find a particular kind of headband that would keep my hair out of my face while I'm working out, since I don't feel like just going shopping until I find one. So here's how the conversation went...

Mom: Why don't you just put your hair in a ponytail?

Me: It's not long enough, it still gets in my eyes.

Mom: How about lots of little ponytails?

Me: So I'd look like a weird muppet?

Mom: No, I was thinking more along the lines of Pebbles.

Me: I don't think I should be trying to look like Pebbles!

Mom: Sure! You could have a little pigtail right in the center of your head too!

Me: I don't want to look like Pebbles!!!

my hair is pretty short too... when i go running/exercise, i usually put the top/front of my hair in a barette and that keeps everything under control.

My hair actually doesn't stay in barettes very well. I used to use a series of strategically placed clips in my hair that would keep it in place, but it's kind of a pain, looks really weird, and parts of my hair will fall out because it's not quite long enough. My hair is evil.
