Okay, so does anyone else want to yell, "Stupid drummer boy, it's gas!!! He's
like, 10 minutes old, he's not really smiling at you and your stupid drum!!!"
or is it just me?

And a thing that pisses me off... my stupid cell phone is without battery
power. Hate!

Nope, sorry... I'm the one person in the world who actually likes the Drummer Boy tune...

Must admit, I don't analyze the lyrics, though! =)

The drummers I've played with have done stranger things! =)

Yeah, I always think that. And I'm also wondering what kind of crack Mary is smoking that she's happy to have some kid play a DRUM for her INFANT.

Haven't you seen the pictures of her with that vague smile? She's totally coming slowly down from an epidural. POssibly some heavenly version of codeine.

I hate "Drummer Boy," too. I guess I can see why the musicians all seem to adore it- Music! It's a great gift!"- but I find it really annoying.

One time our CD player, on shuffle, chose to play 3 different versions back-to-back. Argh.

I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit that I actually like that song. It's my Inner Sap, really.

What I don't understand is "the ox and lamb kept time" Huh? Were they lowing and baa-ing to the beat? I'd never thought about the strangeness of it until my brother and I were singing it (in one of our annoy-Dad fests on a car ride because however old we may be, we're still clearly 5) and we both started laughing when we hit that line. Who knew farm animals had rhythm?
