Okay, so the pop-up WTC commemoration thing that comes up whenever I open Internet Exploder at work bugs me. I mean, I know it's a good thing they're trying to do for everyone, but it's a bit weird.

I'm torn between wanting to write something on it and really not. Cause they're stories and you access them by name. And that's just... not as anonymous as I'd like, is all.

I'm tired of WTC stuff. Everytime I turn on the radio (or occasionally watch tv), there is a reference to the terrorist attacks. And now that the 11 Sept is coming up, it is intensifying. I don't think it has been necessary for media to push it this hard. People generally, (anecdotal, since this is my experience) don't talk about it much. But media does. Over and over again. At work last week we were talking about "commemorating" the attacks with a "moment of silence." Blech. I suggested, instead, that we donate to disaster relief organizations recommended by FEMA. That way we can have a good feeling about helping, rather than wallowing in the disaster itself (so of course, I got saddled with setting this up).

Agreed. Fair enough.
