Stereo Demons

As many of you know (if you pay attention, that is), my stereo is wonky, some even say it is possessed. The volume knob works questionably, the cd tray ejects on it's own, it has opinions on what it will play, etc. So this weekend I'm taking my BestBuy gift card and I'm going to replace it. The friend who is accompanying me on this trip thinks I should destroy the old one afterwards a la the printer in Office Space. I'm unsure, I mean, it did work (hard, and almost non-stop) for several years before it started having a serious attitude. So... please vote.

There's an electronics recycling option provided by Middlesex County - call 732-745-4170 and ask them if you can drop off your old stereo :)

Whatever! Kill it. It deserves to die. Perhaps the speakers deserve to die less than the rest of it, but at the very least, the CD player needs to be kicked once or twice. I suppose if one was so inclined, one could strip it of all useful parts and *then* destroy it, but I say
