Little bit o' happy in my life...
Oct. 6th, 2003 12:14 pmSo I was going to write this rambly post influenced by my reading of _The Rules of Attraction_ by Bret Easton Ellis, full of semi-detached drama and such, but then figured I should not be that person. Not here, anyway, I should save that for in person, obviously.
But so there was vague depression on Friday. Then there was the spending of money that I technically shouldn't be spending on cds and dvds at my other other home away from home, CD World. Happiness is a new cd. Or two. Plus some dvds. And 'lo, the cds are good, and have brought me happiness.
But was it enough??? No!!! I then realized that the cd I was holding was by the same band that ticketmaster keeps emailing me about over and over and over again. And I thought, Yes! I haven't been to a concert in foreverandaday and they sound faboo! but then NO!!!! It's turkey day weekend and I'm pledged to be in Massachusetts! Whatever to do!!! So I looked them up on Pollstar. Yes!!! They're playing about a mile from my parents house that Monday (yes, a mile, maybe 2, but I doubt it, ah, urban sprawl). Oh yes. There will be a concert fix!
And tomorrow night, Eddie Izzard. Life is good.
