podlingOkay, back now. Ah, hostessing. I'm so much better at it when I've had some caffeine. I still think wacky things while sitting there, but I'm so much more smiley and stuff when asking people their names.
Oh! And today one of them told me his name was Prince Charming. Couldn't come up with a comeback fast enough. Doh!
And this one female exec came in, gave me her name, and right after she walked away I was doing a headcount and I said, "four" under my breath, and it sounded to me like I said, "whore" even though I hadn't, and I was thinking how offended she'd've been if she'd heard. But how dumb is that? I mean, I don't think she's a whore, I really don't know her well enough, and anyway, I didn't really mean to call her a whore. Ahem.
And today I didn't have the "you can love me now" song (by hothouse flowers) stuck in my head. Instead, I had the powerman 5000 version of "relax" from zoolander going through my head. I'm such a geek.
