Nov. 2nd, 2004 01:22 pmToday I am wearing a purple silk suit. One of several purple silk suits that I own, actually. Does this project a political party affiliation? What if I told you I work at an insurance company? No, I have no point here, I just wanted to talk about what I'm wearing really and since everyone else is talking politics... Anyway, it's a lovely purple silk, wonderful to touch, nice to wear. I think this is one of the few suits I have that I actually bought for myself, rather than it being a gift. I look good in it. Totally hot today! No pictures, nyah nyah!
To bring it back to politics, when I went to the poll place three things confused me.

scaredp0et was walking out of the fire station when I was walking in. Luckily he told me what district we were in... I might've had issues with that. He's the only person I ever randomly run into in my town. Anyway, his presence made it possible for me to spend under 3 minutes inside, which was nice.
Two, there's a greeter. I asked him why he was there, and he told me it was to say things like, "good morning!" and "thanks for coming!" and "have a good day!" I told him to remember to make the switch between "good morning!" and "good afternoon!" He said he'd keep a close eye on the clock. This makes me feel better about the polling place.
Three, I find it odd that almost everything in my town (with the definite exception of doggy daycare) is on one street. What's more confusing is that the street seems to be a spiral or something, so finding places on it could take a few minutes. But I picked the right part of it to start on. And now I know where the fire station is.
Not really relevant at all... one day I hope to be able to have a dog. Thank you.
