Escalator safety

So the other day, some guy almost clotheslined me back down the approximated 5 flight escalator at Exchange Place. And you know, I understand that some people need to stop walking right before the end of the escalator. Or rather, I don't really understand, and find it highly annoying, especially when they're right in front of me, but I can accept the reality of it. But seriously, you DO NOT stick both arms out to hold on to the sides of the escalator. If I'd been going faster, I would've bounced all the way back down, likely taking out a huge group of people with me. And he looked confused when I ran into him, which was really special.
